The grapes were received at the winery on a specialized line, undergoing total destemming and manual bunch selection, followed by optical sorting—berry by berry. Vinification took place in *lagares* (traditional open-top vats), featuring pre- and post-fermentation maceration and dynamic temperature control.
Aged for 12 months in 300- and 500-liter French oak barrels.
It displays an intense ruby-violet color and a nose defined by ripe black fruit, particularly blackberries. More subtle notes of cassis and sweet spices also emerge. On the palate, it is robust, with firm yet polished tannins. The fruit character returns as black plum skin, lending acidity and a subtle bitterness—a very elegant trait typical of the Tinta Roriz variety. The finish is long and fresh, with good aromatic persistence.
Its balanced profile makes it enjoyable on its own or paired with cheeses, meats, and Mediterranean cuisine in general. It should be served at a temperature between 16ºC and 18ºC.
