In the Heart of Rocks the Secret of an Aroma
Vulcanites and schists form the geology of Herdade do Esporão. In a continuous area of 375 ha, the strains capture the secret of a wine with complex aromas.
The healthy climate from the humid Atlantic breezes, intimacy with the heat and sunlight, give the grapes a personalized sweetness reflected in the vigorous body of Esporão wine.
To protect the biological structure of the soils, we use plows for regional use, excluding herbicides.
At the Herdade do Esporão winery, using the most modern equipment and technology, our technical team guarantees a careful winemaking, where the varieties are tested and determined in their percentage contributions, and fermented under temperature control, maintaining unalterable purity and quality of musts.
After a period of aging in American oak casks, it was bottled, waiting in the bottle for a minimum of twelve months, before going to market.
Esporão Tinto 89 showed a complex aroma of fruit evolved with new oak. The flavor is strong, round and balanced, with a structure that will benefit from aging in the bottle.
Mestre Júlio Rezende illustrates the Esporão 89 harvest label through the pictorial beauty with which he decided to honor us.
Should be served at room temperature.
