Tasting Notes: Very expressive and seductive aroma, full of red fruit and floral aromas. For all its concentration, "Passagem Reserva" is neither a warm nor too full-bodied wine. It is smooth and full of flavors with great persistence of mouth, which is given not for its tannin or acidity, but for its wonderful fruit.
The producer
Passage wines come from Quinta de Bandeiras, a 100-hectare estate located in the Douro Superior on the right bank of the river and near Pocinho, opposite the famous Meão Valley. Until Vale Meao became quite famous in its own right, its grapes were used to produce the famous Barca Velha wines, the 'Vega Sicilia' of Portugal. Thus, the location of Flags could not be more perfect. Flags was bought by the Bergqvist family (Quinta de la Rosa) in 2005, the wine is a joint adventure between Jorge Moreira (Dust) and the Bergqvist family.
