Tasting Notes

Deep red and violet color. aromas of ripe cherries, with slight notes of juniper berries. in the mouth it evokes red ripe blackberries and black cherries, with soft and juicy tannins. very complex and prolonged, with a fruity finish.

The Producer

The Herdade dos Lagos belongs to the Zeppenfeld family more than thirty years ago. Over time, the property has undergone many changes. Currently, an area of 1000 hectares with its five dams serves as pasture for about 1000 sheep, but in the foreground is the cultivation of vine, olive and carob.
In the family, the daughter, Antje Kreikenbaum, took over the marketing and distribution departments of Herdade dos Lagos products, as well as the responsibility of promoting new perspectives, with the support of her husband, the landscape architect Thorsten Kreikenbaum.
