Tasting Notes
With intense garnet color, this Altano Tinto presents a profile romantic where the profusion of floral notes and freshness of the fruit reflect well the quality of this year in which the Touriga Franca stood out. Simultaneously vigorous and silky in the mouth, it uncovers flavors of well defined red fruits, wrapped in fine tannins and notes of spices. A well-structured, elegant and generous red.
The Producer
Symington Family Estates has two important wineries in the Douro, one in Quinta do Sol, near Régua, and another in Quinta do Bomfim, near Pinhão. The main purpose of these wineries is to vinify the grapes that, at each harvest, Symington buys from more than 1,200 farmers spread throughout the Douro valley. These two wineries produce the highest volume Douro and Douro wines.
