Produced by Real Companhia Vinícola do Norte de Portugal, known as Real Vinícola, this 1977 Vintage Port represents a historic reference in the world of Port wine. Founded in 1889, Real Vinícola has a long-standing tradition connected to the production and trade of Douro and Port wines. The company was acquired by Real Companhia Velha in 1963, while the Real Vinícola name continued to be used for different wines.

The 1977 vintage is recognised as one of the classic Port vintages. This Vintage Port shows a deep colour with yellowish tones resulting from its long evolution. On the nose, notes of liquorice and cinnamon stand out. On the palate, it is sweet, medium-bodied and relatively complex, with good balance and an attractive finish.
