Herdade de Muge has been in the pose of the Álvares Pereira de Mello family (Cadaval) since 1660 by the marriage of the 1st Duke D. Nuno Álvares Pereira de Mello with the Countess of Odemira, D. Maria de Faro, who also used the title of Lady of Mug
The initial area of the vineyards then extended over 400 ha, predominantly on sandy loam soils. Today, this property only has 70 ha of vineyards that were rigorously selected in order to, through the wines made, make known to oenophiles the enormous potential for viti-wine.
This is how we are proud to present this wine on its own made from the Cabernet Sauvignon variety that, after careful vinification, was aged in half-pipes of national oak.
