Founded in 1854 by the descendants of the Duke of Lencastre, surrounded by cork oaks and eucalyptus trees from Australia, Herdade da Calada hides among the gentle hills of the Alentejo. Over the years it has been the subject of several interventions and improvements, but preserves the beauty and elegance of the original feature.
The main building and today is one of the most modern and innovative wineries in Portugal, with a wine tourism unit, 35 hectares of vineyards, 110 hectares of olive groves, 60 hectares of cereals, 215 of montado and a magnificent accommodation.
