The producer
Symington Family Estates has two important wineries in the Douro, one at Quinta do Sol, near Régua, and one at Quinta do Bomfim, near Pinhão. The main purpose of these wineries is to vinify the grapes that Symington buys from more than 1,200 farmers throughout the Douro Valley each vintage. These two wineries produce the highest volume Port and DouroDOC wines. Additionally, the family has seven small specialized wineries, each situated in the family's most important farms. Each of these wineries has its own oenology team. Its mission is to produce the best wines possible with grapes from each of the properties.
