Tasting Notes

Topaz color and very intense aroma, slightly woody, a result of long aging in cask. Full-bodied, soft and velvety with distinctive flavors of dried fruit, which persist forever. It should be stored in a cool, dry, protected from light and temperature variations. The bottle should be stored upright.

The producer

The name of William Warre appears for the first time associated with the Port wine trade, with the creation in 1729 of Messrs. Clark, Thorn & Warre, benefiting from a long tradition of family history linked to Port winemaking since 1670. The entry of young Warre, who had served as a military under the orders of the Duke of Wellington in the war against the Napoleonic invasions of Peninsula, had to play a decisive role for its relations in the recognition and growth of the brand that at the end of the eighteenth century Warre & Sons already represented 10% of the total exports of Port wine in 1791.
