The Producer

Located in the Demarcated Region of Vinhos Verdes, in the Monção and Melgaço sub-region, where the Alvarinho grape variety is best represented. Between 1986 and 2004 Adega de Monção improved the technological conditions for receiving grapes and the winemaking process, the storage capacity, stabilization and bottling of wines. In 1999, it increased its facilities with the creation of a new center for the reception of grapes and winemaking - the Melgaço pole, thus better covering the entire geographical area of the sub-region in which it is located. Between 2004 and 2006, work began on the creation of modern physical structures that allowed the expansion of marketing to national and international levels, making a total investment of 6.5 million euros, infrastructure that welcomed the new administrative services, reception area for grapes and new bottling line, work inaugurated in 2008 when celebrating the 50th anniversary.
