Tasting Notes
Esporão D.O.C. Reserva 2002 was created through the winemaking of the Trincadeira, Aragonês and Cabernet Sauvignon varieties. Reveals an aroma of ripe fruit well integrated with American oak. The flavor is intense and deep with robust tannins, full-bodied and with a structure that guarantees a good evolution in the bottle. To preserve the quality of this great wine, we decided not to stabilize it in the cold. It will not be surprising that some deposit will be with age, found at the bottom of the bottle.
The Producer
A Herdade do Esporão alberga um terroir único fruto da aliança de um clima muito particular, regulado e amenizado pelo grande lago central, com os diferentes tipos de solo, exposições e pelo vasto património vitícola constituído por castas autóctones, castas oriundas de outras regiões vitivinícolas e castas internacionais. A paisagem tipicamente mediterrânica é composta por suaves planícies ondulantes que ocupam um pouco mais de 1.800 hectares de área total, 450 hectares dos quais ocupados com vinha e cerca de 80 hectares ocupados com olivais.
