Tasting notes
It's a typical Warre's vintage with a feminine charm, to exude floral aromas of esteva and violets. Beautiful elasticity in the mouth with flavors of ripe black fruits, trimmed by the freshness of the acidity that confers perfect balance and elegance. Long finish with notes of tea leaves.
The producer
Warre's has always been one of the leading producers of Vintage Port. Warre's Vintage Ports are second to none in their expression of balance and elegance. While some other Vintage Ports can be almost overwhelming in their richness, Warre's fine wines combine elegance, length and balance while retaining the rich underlying opulence of great Vintage Port. This unsurpassed style is derived from the inherent features of Warre's two main vineyards: Quinta da Cavadinha and Quinta do Retiro Antigo. They complement each other very well. Horsetail's location, appearance and altitude translate to longevity.
