Tasting Notes
Taboadella Alfrocheiro Reserva is a complex and exuberantly aromatic red wine. It presents density in its structure, intensity in the flavors of ripe red fruits, velvety texture, minerality and firm and juicy tannins and very balanced acidity.
The Producer
Alfrocheiro appeared in Portugal and in Dão after the phylloxera, where he finds his natural territory. But we do not know foreign kinship or national origins, although it was once known by the designation “Tinta Francesa de Viseu”. Very rare and high-grape variety teaches us to produce little and to respect its fragility, to obtain firm but very delicate and structuring tannins.
