Tasting Notes
A beautiful wine, rich with notes of tar. Graceful notes of cedar, fresh blueberries and aromatic Moroccan mint. In the mouth shows a delicate touch of chocolate with aromas of berries. A robust but elegant wine with soft tannins. Very polished with a very long finish that oozes class and quality
The producer
Wine production is a family tradition for Domingos Alves de Sousa: his father (Edmundo Alves de Sousa) and grandfather (Domingos Alves de Sousa) had already been Douro winemakers. But Domingos Alves de Sousa at first embraced another career. Having graduated in Civil Engineering, however, he did not resist the double appeal (of land and blood), and left his activity in 1987 to dedicate himself exclusively to the exploitation of his inherited farms and to others he later acquired, in which it has been carrying out a model work of land reparcelling and restructuring.
