Quinta do Carmo is located in the Alentejo region, a few kilometers from the city of Estremoz. It is a typically Alentejo property, with a total area of 1000ha, on which are included 150ha of Vineyard, 350ha of cork trees and forests. After a long-term joint venture with the prestigious Lafite Rothschild Group, Bacalhôa Vinhos de Portugal acquired the whole Quinta in 2008, which became the center of vinification and production of all wines from the Alentejo of the Bacalhôa group. The wine cellar, with modern and attractive lines, underwent a considerable renovation in technological terms and technique of wine production.
