Strongly mineral aroma with citrus notes, lemon zest in a surrounding that refers to Atlantic sea air. In the mouth is mineral and full, ending salty and very persistent.

The producer

History attributes to Frei Pedro Gigante the cultivation of the first strains on the island of Pico in the late 15th century. The best-adapted grape varieties - Arinto, Verdelho and Terrantez - continue to be planted in the basaltic lava cracks and protected from sea salsug by the corral walls. The work is hard for the vineyard landscape to remain the pride of the picarotos, who made a colossal work recognized by UNESCO as a Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
