Tasting Notes
A surprising wine, produced from a classic non-indigenous variety. It justified its elaboration by its unique characteristics of concentration, varietal character and complexity, which allow it to evolve in a noble bottle for several years.
The Producer
At the height of 640 meters, in the heart of "Parque Internacional do Douro", the project COLINAS do DOURO was born. It is in the abrupt transition of granites from the beirão plateau and the first shale folds to the Douro River, which is, farm with 450ha of which 106ha of vineyard. With the vision of creating wines that convey "A SUPERIOR DOURO", we work in an intense and genuine way, sun by sun, vintage after vintage. Respecting and enhancing the rich local biodiversity, we want our wines to express in their elegance, freshness and minerality "A SUPERIOR DOURO", what we consider to be our terroir.
