Tasting Notes
Deep color with violet tones. The aroma has evident notes of primary fruit to which are added notes of prolonged aging in used French oak barrels. We highlight aromas of violets, black fruit and some broom, which are accompanied by notes of vanilla, cedar and balsamic. In the mouth it conveys freshness and depth, with tannins present throughout the entire tasting.
The Producer
At the height of 640 meters, in the heart of "Parque Internacional do Douro", the project COLINAS do DOURO was born. It is in the abrupt transition of granites from the beirão plateau and the first shale folds to the Douro River, which is, farm with 450ha of which 106ha of vineyard. With the vision of creating wines that convey "A SUPERIOR DOURO", we work in an intense and genuine way, sun by sun, vintage after vintage. Respecting and enhancing the rich local biodiversity, we want our wines to express in their elegance, freshness and minerality "A SUPERIOR DOURO", what we consider to be our terroir.
