Tasting Notes
In the mouth it is full-bodied, fruity with balsamic notes with round tannins. It has a long and persistent finish that completes the portrait of a good wine.
The Producer
Muxagata (Vila Nova de Foz Côa) is characterized by soils rich in limestone (Ph greater than 7.0) and is inserted in the largest mountain production region in the world - the Douro Region. Although Quinta da Saudade was only acquired by the group in 2008, the first wines were made by Carloto Magalhães in 2007, exclusively from Quinta grapes. In the 2008 vintage, the wines acquired the Palato do Côa brand. Quinta da Saudade, composed of vineyards with all sun exposure, is shaped like a volcano, in the center of which the winery was built in 2012. The Quinta is inserted in the area of the Vale do Côa Archaeological Park (UNESCO Heritage and World Heritage).
