Red fruit and spice aromas reveal gentle maceration to preserve typical grape notes and have the wine peak after bottling. The palate is very smooth and sweet, with balanced acidity.
The producer
The Vila Real Winery was founded in 1955 and is part of the Douro Wine Region, the oldest in the world, and is also recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site.
The vineyards and farms of our associates are still cultivated according to traditional techniques, being mostly composed of old vines, with low mechanization and low yields per hectare. This is where the grapes that give rise to our Port and Douro Wines are born, with a modern and international profile keeping the “Douro terroir”.
