Tasting Notes
Color: Intense and deep, still with violet hints. Aroma: Very complex, intense and alive, highlighting the most ripe red fruits, the balsamic aromas characteristic of the older vineyards and the notes of spices, coming from the barrel stage. Palate: Of great harmony and elegance, dominated by very fine ripe tannins and balanced acidity. It has a very long and persistent finish which, as a whole, allows for long life expectancy.
The producer
Located in the center of DOC Douro, it is characterized by the presence of 8 terroirs very marked by the mountains, the different altitudes and sun exposures, the schist soils and the characteristic climate of the Douro river valley. In the vineyards were planted dozens of indigenous grape varieties, according to Organic Production and Integrated Production. Olive trees, orange trees, almond trees and Mediterranean forests help maintain the balance of the ecosystem.
