Preta 2011 - Red Wine
Tasting notes
Concentrated dark violet color. Hot, concentrated and intense nose, notes of blackberries and crushed blueberries, with floral touch and subtle aroma of toasted almonds from the barrel. In the mouth the attack is full, in the middle of the test it is full bodied with firm and very mature tannins. It has a good acidity and the end of the mouth prolongs indefinitely.
The Producer
A 23-year-old winemaker and an English winemaker could only go wrong. "The Portuguese winemaker António Maçanita and the English consultant and winegrower, David Booth, met in early 2004. Over the next few months, Antonio was already learning viticulture with David and a great friendship developed. The next step would be to make wine. First wine, first success, with the Trophy Alentejo in the International Wine Challenge, awarded for the second time in 22 years of competition.
