It was in 2011 that José Rodrigues was enchanted by the Alentejo plains and decided to buy the Monte da Ribeira, property of about 12 hectares near Évora, in a plot of the old Herdade da Avessada, where he planted an orchard and a small vineyard.
Buying a tractor and implements to garner the property, led to the need to build a garage to save them. But in a protected natural landscape like yours, this construction would only be possible in the context of an industrial project such as a winery.
