Tasting notes
The base of this gin is the Sharish Blue Magic Gin, but without the addition of strawberries and raspberries, where the Queen Cláudia plums were added, which were previously macerated for three months at the maximum point of ripeness. Gin Sharish gets its name from the village of Monsaraz (sharish means xara, jara, or rock rose). “Mont Sharish would mean a hill erected in a forest of rockrose, subsequently originating Monsaraz”, explains António Cuco. This Sloe Gin is made from a maceration (without fermentation) of Plums Rainha Cláudia in Sharish Gin. It is a Gin-based liqueur, with no added sugar.
It should be drunk pure, or with ice, to accompany a very sweet dessert (conventual).
