THE LEGEND OF THE SETÚBAL MUSCAT TORNA VIAGEM
By the time the Portuguese boats crossed the seas of the world, doing all sorts of trade, it was common to take some on consignment Moscatel de Setúbal.
The commanders received by selling. Not always able to sell all the barrels. Upon return to their homeland, after the tour, in which they subjected to various climates and significant temperature variations, the casks were returned to the cellars of the producers.
By being open, almost always a good surprise: the wine was generally better than before boarding.
The passage through the tropics, the way to Brazil, Africa or India, twice while crossing the equator, one on the outward journey, another on the return trip, seemed to improve the quality of Moscatel de Setúbal and gave it great complexity. Thus was born the legend of the MUSCAT TORNA VIAGEM.
