Scala Coeli, owes its name to the Monastery of Santa Maria Scala Coeli, commonly known as the Monastery of Carthusian, a place where the Carthusian monks remain in silence and prayer. It results from the best vinifications of each year from less traditional grape varieties to Alentejo.

Obtained from the best vinifications of the harvest, using less traditional varieties in the region. In 2015 it resulted from the vinification of the Touriga Nacional grape varieties, harvesting on September 15th. On this day the grapes were carefully harvested and taken to the dega, where cold pre-fermentative maceration was carried out, followed by alcoholic fermentation at 28ºC and prolonged maceration. Total incubates for 30 days. It aged for 14 months in French oak barrels.
