Maximo'S are the exponent of Alveirão. In reds we select the grape variety and the best portion to guarantee the transmission of the terroir.
In 2016, the best performing grape variety was Touriga Nacional. It is installed on difficult terrain, with little incline, but with a lot of limestone. Perhaps the grape's vigor is limited by these conditions, resulting in concentrated and highly polished wines.
Winemaking - manual harvesting in 20kg boxes, partial destemming followed by foot treading and fermentation for 10 days with an average temperature of 28ºC
Aging - 24 months in new and used French oak
Tasting Note - Clear and intense in color, intense floral notes and some red fruit, intense aroma revealing surprising. Intense round and harmonious flavor where the fruit and the body of the wine are in perfect harmony, wine with a strong and velvety finish.
