The Producer

Founded in 1955 with the designation of Adega Cooperativa da Moscatel de Setúbal, it started its activity in 1958.

The Adega Cooperativa de Palmela is one of the main development poles of the Municipality, which is markedly agricultural and where vineyards and wine have a very large weight for historical reasons. The main wine-growing area is located on the sandy plain that forms a large part of the municipality of Palmela.

Adega Cooperativa de Palmela started its activity with 50 members and with a production that did not exceed 1.5 million liters. Nowadays the production exceeds 8 million liters, and the Adega has the capacity to reach 10 million, being 70% red wine, 25% white wines and 5% Moscatel.
